The reason they are important is that normal cleaners PRESS ties which kills the "hand" which is the nice roundness of the edge which gives the tie a full bodied look. Movieland steam-cleans so tie retain the hand. They also do shortening, lengthening (no jokes please) and narrowing for 80's new wave minded.
