I am going to be putting up a memorial page on this website in the next few days. If you have photos of Frankie
at workshops you attended, please send them to me at margiekate@lindyhopping.com. If you have a story or thoughts about
what Frankie has meant to you, please also send that to me as I'd love to include it.
Donations in lieu of flowers should be made to "Frankie Manning Fund" in his honor:

An excellent overview of the history of jazz and swing dance in a context of American society in the 1930s and 1940s -- I HIGHLY recommend this book.
**This Thing Called Swingby Christian Batchelor. ISBN 0-9530631-0-0. Apart from tracing the parallel development of swing music and swing dancing it is supposed to have a great list of dance films.

** -- doesn't have to do with Lindy Hop per say, but it's a fabulous book, extremely well written and is written by one of the best tap dancers/Lindy Hoppers I know!
**This symbol before a book means that I either own it/have read it/or have had it recommended to me so often that I feel it's probably extremely worthwhile to have. All others I have no firsthand knowledge of.
